jo!'s source code is managed with the help of a versioning system called CVS. You can find out more about CVS on the CVS homepage.
Thanks to SourceForge the CVS repository is kept on a publicly available server and can be browsed.
To download the source tree from CVS you will need a CVS client. If you don't have one already installed you can download jCVS, the java CVS client. jCVS will work on any platform including Linux. Some people prefer the native tools though. You might want to check out wincvs.
This provides read-only access to the repository.
